Fellow Traveler Counseling

Associate Therapist

M.ED, LCMHC-QS

As an experienced clinician, Chelsea guides clients toward transformative resolutions by addressing the root causes of presenting concerns. She fosters a deep connection and understanding that is attuned to each client's unique needs. By collaborating with clients to define what meaningful growth is to them and outlining an actionable process to achieve results, Chelsea facilitates a therapeutic approach that is healing, effective, and enjoyable.

Chelsea's compassionate approach creates an environment that enables clients to access their inner wisdom and strengths. As a Level II trained and Certified IFS therapist, Chelsea primarily uses Internal Family Systems therapy in her clinical work. Through helping clients identify the cycles and patterns that influence their overall well-being, IFS therapy provides language to understand the driving motives behind these cycles.

Clients can use this newfound clarity as a guide to heal trauma wounds, resolve inner conflicts, and pave the way for a more fulfilling and authentic life. Chelsea specializes in addressing family-of-origin trauma, perfectionism, social anxiety, codependency, depression, and grief.

Additionally, Chelsea specializes in the treatment of other therapists and caregivers, particularly in burnout recovery and family-of-origin work. Drawing from years of clinical and leadership experience, she fully appreciates the nuanced intersection of therapists’ personal and professional identities. She empowers clinicians to further their own growth journeys, enabling them to continue providing quality care to their own clients all while leading happy and fulfilled lives.

Chelsea has achieved the Qualified Supervisor designation and provides supervision to associate-licensed practitioners (LCMHCAs). Chelsea emphasizes empowerment and reflective analysis in her supervisory approach. Chelsea challenges supervisees to harness their training, form clinically informed and thoughtful perspectives, and personalize their counseling style. Cultivating supervisees’ passion for healing work, she supports professional exploration that optimizes client care along with their own growth and wellbeing.
